Christmas Cookies

I was so sad when it was so close to christmas and I still hadn't found the time to do some baking or crafting. Work was so exhausting this year, I started to work a second job on the weekends, there were final exams and to top it off we moved into a new apartment. Phew~

But two days before christmas I finally found time to make some cookies!

First I made some Nutella Cookies based on this super easy recipe I found here. It's simply 225 gr Nutella, 120 gr flour and one egg mixed together and then baked for about 7 minutes at 175 °C.
I just used a cheap, no-name version of Nutella which made it taste even better, because it wasn't as sweet as the original.
Ready to be baked!
After cooling off, I finished them with white chocolate coating.

Not so nice to look at...
...but very yummy!

I made a second set of cookies based on stuff I had at home. Mainly cereals, butter, sugar, flour....The first batch didn't turn out right, but the second ones were perfect!

Sadly we couldn't get to eat much of them, because we gave most of them away as little presents (forgot to make photos...)

Tags for Christmas Presents

Every christmas at least one person in my family has the problem of not knowing anymore which present belongs to which person once they are wrapped. To avoid this problem I drew some cute little pictures and colored them with aquarels so make some tags to add to the presents.

While they were good use to me, most peole didn't even notice them :(

Well at least I finally got to use my aquarells again!

Mini amigurumi doll

This year was the most busy year I've ever had. I moved into a new apartment, work has been extremely busy as well.
I used to spend so much time online and this year real life got in the way....which is awesome, I guess :D

Which is more sad is, that I couldn't find time to craft, too...but paying the rent and housework is more important. Isn't it sad to be an adult? ;)

Still I have something litle to show. My crocheting skills have become really rusty...so I apologize in advance for the outcome.
Well, here's a little amigurumi doll I did for a friend. I promised to make her one months ago (I notice a pattern....) and finally finished it.
Without clothes....next time I need to make the neck thinner. But please notice the thumbs up ;)
And with her dress. I wanted to make a Kimono at first, but to sew that tiny made me drive crazy, so I kept it simple.
Thanks for looking

My first try at a rainbow cake

Well...look at my first try at making a rainbowcake. It's decorated with simple sugar icing and some Haribos :)

I made normal dough and  seperated it in different bowls to mix the colors with food coloring. Then I started putting the dough in the spring form, always a few spoonfulls into middle.
That's how it looks. I made the mistake of always adding only two teaspoons...so the lines got very small and after baking looked very faint because they blended together.
Well, I learned from my mistake and I hope next time the cake will turn out better .

Mini-Amigurumi unicorn with sparkly match box home!

Wow...I promised a mirco amigirumi uncorn to a friend like a year ago and finally I finished it!
Actually I can't crochet very well and I'm bad with patterns. I used a newborn guinea pig pattern I found here : http://www.ravely.com/people/Luna1130 and simply changed it in the back and made different ears.

The feet are just little bobbles which makes it way easier. I always find it very difficult to crochet little parts and attach them.
I altered a match box with fabric, buttons, pearls and lots of nail polishand glue. After all this tiny unicorn needs a proper home.
It was really fun to simply mess around with the different materials even though it came out very differnt to what I had planned. The little book was made and bound by my boyfriend and I just glittered it up :D

Another Cherry Stone pillow

Like I wrote in last blogpost, I still had some cherry stones that I wanted to use for a pillow.

This time I wanted a pillow for my neck and shoulders because they are always so tensed from work. I sewed in different sections so that the stones are scattered more evenly.

I also wanted to sew a pillow case since it can easily be washed and I could easily make another cover if I want another color or something.
The back of the cover.
Thanks for looking :)

Cherry Stone Pillow

I totaly forgot to post this pillow I made in January!
Cherry stone pillows are awesome. You heat them up in the microwave and they stay warm and cozy (and smell nice). I searched for one online and they were kinda expensive, so I just bought 1 kg of cherry stones and made one myself.

I still have cherry stones left and plan to make another one :)

Just a few little drawings - angel kitty - dandelion fairy - yet another elven girl

Just a few little drawings I did for my dear mimchan. I was horrible with crafting last year...so I wanted to add at least something handmade.
